Back in the 90s, there as a popular TV sitcom called Caroline in the City. It followed Caroline’s adventures as a young, single girl, learning to juggle her career and life as a city-dwelling go-getter. Kind of like Seinfeld, but featuring Caroline instead of Jerry.
I’ve been Caroline in the City. I’ve lived in Boston proper, Allston, and Cambridge, and had a busy career life that I juggled with nights out with friends, brunch dates, dinner dates, dating apps, and exploring new places.
But just before my 30th birthday, I met my husband Josh when he walked into my office at work. We were married a year later, bought a house in the suburbs, and our son Jack was not far behind. I left my career to stay home and raise Jack, and it was the best decision of my life.
I became Caroline in the Suburbs!
A little less than two years after bringing Jack home, we welcomed our daughter Grace to our family. Our Yorkie Tinker rounds out our family and completes our cast of characters.
Since becoming a full-time mom, I’ve discovered that there is still a work-life balance struggle for moms, and we often put ourselves last in favor of keeping the household running. But it doesn’t have to be that way!
I believe that when we feel good about ourselves, we show up more in our homes, marriages, businesses, and for our children. I’m here to make that happen; for me and for you!
